The botanical garden “Margarita” in the village of Grozdiovo has a collection of various plants of subtropical, tropical, and transitional Mediterranean origin. It features plants from all six continents, the most being from the Mediterranean and southern temperate zone.
The garden takes its name Margarita from a group of flowers, bushes, trees, and cacti from around the world. There are more than 20 variations with this name in the garden. It is situated on a north-western terraced hill and is divided into sectors which group the characteristic plants of a particular geographical area. They are planted in such a way that they are close to their natural environment. The plants are labelled with their Latin names, the most widely used Bulgarian names and the country of origin.
The botanical garden has a seating area and is open from 1 April to 15 November.
